The Indofab Degritting Mechanism is engineered for the preliminary stage of sedimentation processes, ensuring effective removal of grit, sand, scales, and other high-specific-gravity particles from raw water or wastewater streams. These coarse materials—typically larger than 0.15 mm—are efficiently separated to prevent wear, choking, and unwanted load on downstream equipment.
Installed in a specially designed degritting tank integrated with the main flow channel, the mechanism directs grit-free liquid to overflow across the weir, while settled debris is collected in side channels and automatically discharged in a semi-dry form a few meters above the water level.
